You may have seen similar looks on other rides - as a heavy cast wheel. What’s the point? The Magnet was intentionally designed as a forged wheel so it not only offers classic looks but it also reduces weight and increases strength that heavier SUVs need.
At SuperForged we design and manufacture forged wheels for performance trucks and SUVs. Each wheel is created from a billet of 6061 aerospace grade aluminum alloy which we heat, harden, and forge to size. The forging process results in a more dense metallic structure that is 25% lighter and 3 times stronger than cast or flow formed wheels.
